Auditions For The High Rendition Jazz Band Are Now Open

High Rendition Jazz is seeking experienced high school musicians for the following instruments:


Sax | Trumpet | Trombone | Bass | Guitar | Piano | Drums | Vocals

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Sax, trumpet, trombone, bass, guitar, PIANO:

  • 1 Major & 1 Minor Scale
  • 1 classical study or etude (optional)
  • 1 jazz melody or standard
  • Improvisation (optional)

Drums:

  • Snare drum etude or study (optional)
  • Demonstrate swing feel (different tempos)
  • Demonstrate swing feel on brushes (optional)
  • Demonstrate latin feels
  • Demonstrate rock and funk feels
